Job description

Nordex Sweden is now looking for a Area Logistics Manager – Abnormal Loads for the Nordic Region at our headquarters in Uppsala. If desired, we would open to discuss other locations to work from.
Act as single point of contact for any project-related Logistics’ topic during project execution from initial route feasibility survey through to abnormal component delivery and returns.
Act as single point of contact for any project-related Logistics’ topic during project execution from initial route feasibility survey through to coordinating shipping, securing port operations, abnormal load transports to project sites and returns.

Key accountabilities
Full responsibility for the transport of wind turbine components to constructions sites for all assigned projects within the Nordic Region: Ensure that transport takes place with highest focus on safety whilst also on time, within budget and components are delivered to site damage free.
Budgeting, planning, coordination and controlling Logistic operations of wind turbines from supply points to construction sites
Coordination of transports together with the different internal and external production facilities, the construction sites, the contracted transport providers and any other relevant stakeholder
Support in sourcing Logistics services in country of destination: Port operations in port of entry and final run transports to construction sites
Active participation in internal improvement programs
Internal and external communication with all relevant stakeholders
Identification, tracking and reporting of transport risks
Investigate and close out quality issues relating to project specific transports
Suporting Transport Crane & Installation Sourcing teams to identify contractors in new and existing countries of destination, supporting with QHSE audits and setting up frame agreements as required.


Job requirements
Several years of professional experience in the field of Logistics / Heavy transports
Familiar will local regulations in Nordic countries with regards to normal and abnormal transports
Commercial management, experience in developing Logistics Frame Agreements.
Experience of managing off-site road modifications relating to abnormal load deliveries is a plus, coordinating with road authorities and contractors is a plus
Experience in the wind industry is a plus
Experience in identifying and developing suppliers in new regions: proactively working with suppliers to ensure highest levels of safety and quality.


Education and qualification
Higher education diploma, preferably in Logistics and/or Transport
Good computer skills are required, especially MS Office, MS Project & SAP
Fluent in English is a must, a Nordic language would be advantageous.
Good project management knowledge

Willingness to travel across Northern Europe on a regular basis
