ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently.
We are looking for an additional Area Sales Manager to our global sales team within Motors and Generators. As part of the sales team, you will be working actively with your assigned customers, countries and applications. You will promote ABBs synchronous generators, customer values and services, and develop our market together with our local sales organizations.


Your responsibilities
· Preparing complete technical and commercial quotations for our sales units as well as third party customers
· Developing the ABB generator business within given accounts and regions and striving to increase ABB share of wallet.
· Building and maintaining relationship network within the customers.
· Getting ABB into relevant customer forums and development projects/ discussions and securing that ABB grabs the given opportunities.
· Preparing financial forecasts and follow the pipe-line for responsible areas.
· Marketing of our products and services, as well as providing training for customers and our international sales force.
· Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.


Your background
· B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical or mechanical engineering.
· Experience in account management with global customers, technical sales support or specially with electrical machines, is preferable.
· Excellent cooperation skills and capability of co-operating in multicultural teams and discussing different generator technologies professionally and explaining the advantages of ABB’s technical solutions and functional features.
· Systematic, independent, responsible and flexible attitude to work.
· Great communication skills and ability to work under varying workload demands.
· In order to succeed in this job, you need a good command of English, whereas other language skills are an advantage.
· Willingness to travel.
