This is a unique opportunity and requires an experienced ASP/Visual Basic developer capable of working independently and in a variety of capacities.We are looking for a versatile developer who is capable of adapting quickly in a dynamic environment.The person hired for this position will be joining a relatively new team, in driving the evolution and increasing the functionality of one of the applications we support.The technical challenges are vast and exciting, whilst providing the candidate with ample opportunity to increase and enhance their technical and leadership skills.
We will rely on this resource to be able to use a wide range of technical skills to lead the development of new functionality whilst also assisting in driving the process improvements and upgrades as they occur.You must have impeccable credentials and an outstanding track record in order to be considered for this position.

This position may require travel to the US from time to time.


Experience and Attributes Desired:

Essential
" At least three years of experience implementing and supporting ASP and Visual Basic applications.
" Demonstrated ability to work with users in documenting requirements, developing designs, preparing and executing test plans.
" Technical skills must include VB, ASP, SQL server, XML, XSLT and HTML.
" Must demonstrate a keen interest in the analysis, design, and development of Web-based applications.
" Must be able to remain focused and deliverable-oriented while working independently.
" Able and willing to travel to the US, when required.
" Must be a self-starter with the ability to work on a one-person project as well as a multi-person project.
" Must have a relevant third level qualification.An advanced degree is desirable.

The following would be an advantage (in order of importance)
" Exposure to DotNet Framework.(VB.Net / C# )
" Previous experience of vignette
" Experience of Java, JSP and Tag Library development.
