Wheels & Tyres is a section within Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics Unit responsible for the development of Wheels & Tyres for all Volvo Car Corp vehicles. We are also responsible for the functional development of TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)
Wheels & Tyres need reinforcement with an Assignment Leader responsible for TPMS. The area of tyre pressure monitoring has been in focus for some years in USA but also the European Union has initiate discussions regarding this matter. Our department needs a person that follows the global development of TPMS as well as acting as a project assignment leader.
We expect you to be interested in working with functional development and project implementation of different TPMS solutions. You are working in cross-functional project teams with representatives from all concerned professions. You have strong influence in your work and your way of working but on the same time the expectations on delivery and performance are high.
Job Description:
TPMS responsible towards the Vehicle Projects for Time, Technology and Cost
Plan and organise activities related to TPMS assignment
Lead teams in purpose to develop TPMS technical solutions
Develop & implement TPMS function
Develop supplier contacts regarding TPMS
Follow up the international development and contribute to future TPMS strategies.
Member of Ford Motor Company global TPMS team
Profile Qualifications:
Documented Experience in leading on team projects
TPMS development experience is an advantage.
Experience from VCC development work is an advantage.
Working knowledge and understanding of quality operating procedures and robustness principles (6 sigma) is an advantage.
Interested in traffic safety and vehicle dynamics.

Self starter who can work independently and gets things done.
Ability to establish and develop local, national and global networks
Ability to lead cross-functional project teams
Education:
Engineering degree/diploma.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish.
Proficiency with Microsoft office software(s).
Driver's license level B.
