Assignment manager

Scania is a world-leading provider of transport solutions. Together with our partners and customers we aim to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, creating a world of mobility that is better for businesses, societies and the environment.

Assignment manager - quick team E

Our premium products continuously improve despite the complexity growth on the features constellation of their Electrical System. In order to face those challenges, Q-Team E plays a vital role by following up the entire Product Design E, supporting Scania production and aftermarket.

Our area of responsibility is the Electrical System, belonging to the departments of Connected, Autonomous and Embedded Systems. It consists of the ECUs along with its software, functions and surrounding hardware e.g. circuits, sensors and cables layout installations. Our responsibility extends globally to our production units in Sweden,  France, the Netherlands and Brazil.

By quickly acting on design issues causing interferences in Scania production, as well as quality deviations found in the field, we continuously improve the product quality and the profitability for both, Scania and our customers. Our challenge is to coordinate/investigate and introduce the right solutions for both, production and after-market, within the shortest possible lead time.

Our target is to have a Short Term Solution implemented within 24 hours and define a Long Term Solution within 10 working days.

As an Assignment Manager, you will have global responsibility for addressing deviations through investigation, creation and coordination of assignments and leading cross-functional teams.
Leading these assignments requires managing various resources from R&D Software and/or Hardware design areas, supplier quality groups, purchasers, product technicians and process engineers.

This is a pivotal role in the company where teamwork and cooperation is needed thus, building a big network within the company is a natural part of your daily work. Root cause analysis, evaluation of impacts & consequences, driving follow-up meetings e lessons learned are some subjects that are part of the daily routine.

Your profile

You have an interest in leadership combined with great curiosity for new technologies that will shape the future. You are service-orientated and passionate about problem-solving. You possess an investigating mindset, analytical and methodical. Keen on making evaluations, taking the initiative, making decisions and following(but also improving) established processes accordingly.

Being social with good communication skills is very important since teamwork and cross-functional activities are required while driving our assignments.
You have an engineering degree or equivalent and at least a couple of years of professional experience within Scania.

You should be able to read electrical technical documents and drawings. It is meritorious if you have experience in: project management, OAS, KS structure, ECUs, user functions, CAN bus or software development.

Proficient English, written and spoken, is required since the position holds global responsibility.
