Assistant Chief Engineer - Manual Transmission Sector GM Powertrain is in the frontline when it comes to development of turbo engines and manual gearboxes.The introduction of BioPower is the latest prominent example of innovative technology that has received at lot of attention.We are part of GM Powertrain, a concern with activity in 17 countries and has over 59 000 employees.GM Powertrain Sweden are today working with around 960 employees stated at three sites in Sweden: engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg.The Transmission Sector is looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE).As an ACE you are leading the different Product Engineering functions in their daily work and driving the team forward to reach expected project readiness.You will be meeting many interfaces and you will have a global network.Functionally you report to the Chief Engineer but you will report project readiness in many different structures and levels.You will be a member of a Project Execution Team and be the single point contact for all Product Engineering deliverables. You are experienced in project leadership and engineering.Working in project means that the work is time driven.Experience from transmission engineering is wanted but not a requirement.You must be used to work in an environment with many interfaces and where a lot of things are going on at the same time.Your ability to drive your team and at the same time understand the cross functional needs is very important.You are strong in leading the team and have an ability to get the things done.Travel is included in the work.
