As part of our quest to develop the next generation of wound care products, we’re expanding and are looking for new members for our R&D team. The Pre-clinical Biology and Testing team are now hiring two Associate Scientists.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
To create knowledge in the area of skin regeneration and infection and ensure the development of efficacious treatments. To investigate biological mechanism and pathways in wound healing. To drive the exploration, development and implementation of new scientific concepts and hypotheses in order to meet customer needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Plan, coordinate and execute assigned tasks within research projects and activities
Support delivery of pre-clinical evidence ladder in line with the strategy or project plan
Plan and execute pre-clinical activities in the laboratory
Develop new assays and methodologies
Maintain a good overview within the area of expertise on technologies, scientific findings and competitor products
Represent the biological expertise in the project and other forums


KEY DECISIONS
Decision mandate in accordance to appointed role
Recommend implementation of new or changed test methods
Decision of data quality and correctness
Decision on data significance


CAPABILITIES; QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Capabilities
Good scientific competence within the area of cell and/or microbiology
Good technical knowledge in assigned area
Basic understanding of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical device
Communication skills
Fluent English written and spoken


Qualifications and Experience
Ph D, Master’s or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant area, i.e. Wound biology, Cell biology, Microbiology, Immunology or similar
2 years’ experience within medical device/pharmaceuticals or relevant field
