Attribute Leader

The Attribute Leader ME Geometry works within complete car at CEVT and Geely. The role provides up-front input to both styling and product engineering to enable competitive styling, dimensional and perceived quality, manufacturability, and reduced manufacturing complexity.

You will be responsible for giving input to the DTS from a Manufacturing (ME) point of view and approve the DTS from ME side. You will also be responsible for reaching and report the dimensional targets according to DTS/PIST within CEVT/Geely, giving input to resolutions and keep track on all related issues.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Driving Process Driven Product design and align the CEVT/Geely ME/SE community to ensure "one voice" of manufacturing tolerance requirements to assure the agreed BOP.
- Supporting the Matching TPC & PCF process, give input to resolutions and keep track on all related issues.
- Accountability for reach and report the dimensional targets according to DTS within CEVT/Geely.
- Giving input to the DTS from a Manufacturing point of view and approve the DTS from ME side.
- Participating in engineering meetings.

Requirements

- A degree as certified engineer in mechanical engineering, automotive process engineering or industrial engineering.
- Relevant experience of dimensional and geometry assurance
- Subject experience concerning the production of single parts, assembly concepts, manufacturing methods, design features, clamping concepts, planning processes, quality requirements, measuring methods for bodies and complete vehicles.
- Good knowledge of statistical process control
- Demonstrated high levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate others, and raise work output and results.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently
- High level of analytical ability
- Thorough knowledge of dimensional engineering and body manufacturing process’s as, the effect on dimensional from the paint process and final assembly process.
- Ability to read product drawings, GD&T drawings and Tool Design drawings
- Good PC knowledge including CATIA and Team Centre
- Knowledge about dimensional simulation software and methods.
- Fluency in English (oral and written), Chinese is beneficial
- Ability to travel on a global basis, mainly China, as required
- Enjoys working in a changing environment that requires flexibility
