Dear Au Pair!!We would like to introduce you to our family!Mark's father "Grandpa" visits us for about 4 months every summer.We also have one dog "Tootsie".He is very energetic, not well behaved, but very friendly.We also have 2 cats and a guinea pig.We hope you like pets!She is about to finish 4th grade.Adriana is a busy little girl, but can be helpful, and eager to please.She loves to read, play, and dance.She is involved in tap, jazz and ballet dancing, tennis and soccer.Jacob turned 8 in May and is finishing 2nd grade this year.He is active and curious about everything!He loves art, building, and pretend play.Baseball is his favorite sport, but he also likes basketball, squash, tennis and riding bikes and scooters.They both love swimming and are on a summer swim team.They both take piano lessons. We live in a wonderful area for educational, cultural, and travel opportunities.Bryn Mawr is a suburb of Philadelphia, which is 20-25 minutes away by train.Philadelphia is a major city that has great museums, jazz and music clubs, and unlimited restaurants.Bryn Mawr and Rosemont (our towns) have shopping, bookstores, libraries, coffee houses, a movie theater, and many restaurants within 15 minutes of our house.We have many well-known colleges and universities in our area, but most are private.Less expensive educational options are about 25 minutes away by car.There are train stations, which run to Philadelphia, and beyond, at both towns, which are a 20-minute walk or bike from our house.There is a major shopping mall 20 minutes away by car.There is also a shopping area called Suburban Square nearby which is a good place to meet friends.Every year the au pairs find new spots to hang out.Travel is easy from Philadelphia, one reason we like this area so much.New York city is a 2 hour train or bus ride (Broadway plays, great food, museums, and excitement), Washington D.C.is 2 1/2 hours by train, (the White House, the Smithsonian..one of the best museums, and the Air and Space museum has a great movie theater - you could spend a week here and not see everything worth seeing), and Baltimore is about 1 hour by train (visit the inner harbor and aquarium).The sand beaches of New Jersey are 2 hours away by car.And recently, Southwest Airlines a low cost airline, has come to the area.We would encourage you to travel as much as possible.We look forward to meeting you and want you to have an enjoyable year with us, and in the United States.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Hösten -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
