Au Pair-Extraordinaire/Albany, (Special Needs.)

Our family lives in a rural area, and we have 5 acres of land, part is lawn, part is field and part is wooded.There are many homes in our area, but also lots of woods, rolling hills, and open fields.It is a good place for someone who enjoys biking or cross-country skiing.Although we live in a rural area there are many places to go within a 30-40 min drive: shopping malls, theaters, concert halls, dance clubs, museums, sport arenas, ski areas (1 -2 hr drive) and lots of other things as well.There are also many nice colleges in the area.We have a big house with lots of room indoors to play when the weather is bad.We are currently finishing our basement as a giant playroom We have a nice big bedroom for our Au Pair.The room is furnished with a full sized bed, 2 bedside tables, a dresser, a drafting table, lamps, a large bookcase and a small television VCR/DVD.The room also has a large closet. Both children are Autistic, and need special help and extra love.Peter goes to a full-day special Ed.Program at Elementary school.He is a beautiful little person who loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses to his family and teachers.He also loves to be tickled and will reward you for tickling him with a big smile.Currently, Rose goes to a special ed.preschool a few hours a week and then has 2-3 hours of therapy at home.Rose likes flowers and puzzles, and farm animals.She loves to swing, play in water and take long walks in her stroller.There is a small farm down the road with sheep, cows and goats that she likes to visit. I m a stay at home Mom, but needs help with the children because of their disabilities.Ryan is self-employed, and has a tile and marble installation business.His schedule is very erratic, but he tries to be home between 6pm and 7pm most nights. Because working with autistic children is harder than with normal children we wouldn't want our Au Pair to work more than 6-8 hours a day, on a regular basis.We are also hoping to send our An Pair to at least one special training course after she is here for a little while.Our therapists are willing to help train our An Pair.We may need our Au Pair to help get ready for school in the mornings, and be with the children from 2pm-7pm on weekdays.Other than these times, we can be flexible with work hours.Other duties of our Au Pair would include pickin up after the children, and helping them learn to pickup after themselves, folding and putting away the children's clothing, helping with the children's meals, and helping get ready for school in the morning Tillträde: Vintern/våren -07 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
