Our family consists of myself, Veronica, my husband, James, our daughter Tessa (6), and sons, Randy (5) and Joe (3).Our family and professional lives are tightly woven these days given our busy schedules.I work in New York City for a financial services firm four days a week.My days are quite, busy as I leave the house at 7:00 in the morning and return at 7:00 in the evening.James and I also own a local restaurant in the village we live in.James is a trained chef who both works in the kitchen as well as oversees the day to day operations of the restaurant.He typically works 5 days per week with varying hours.I also spend one day per week at the restaurant taking care of the finances.Sunday is the day of the week that we are all in the same place as a family.Our home is quite lived-in and comfortable; it has to be with a six, five and three year old.At this stage of the game, our goals for our children are to be happy and have fun while learning respect for and kindness towards others.Tessa enjoys preeschool.and Randy goes 4 mornings per week.Tessa also participates in a gymnastic class on Fridays.They both will be enrolled in swimming lesson.Joe, is an easy, going, happy three year old.He's a lot of fun to be around.The kids love to go to the park, beach and library.They have a trampoline in the backyard that gets them pretty tired and well exercised.We have had the pleasure of having three au pairs earlier living with our family.My husband and I are extremely excited to get an understanding of a different culture and we welcome the opportunity to have someone join our family and experience fully the way in which we manage and live our daily lives here in Babylon.My objective is to make this experience as mutually beneficial and exciting to both my family and an au pair.To me, the success of the host/au pair relationship is based on respect and honesty.I also think that similar interests play a part in the success of the relationship.We are a pretty active family both my husband and I run and play golf.The hole family is interested in horse back riding but we do also enjoy going over to the beach for walks, or for swims (in the summer).That being said, I'd like to be candid in that our children are young and do require a significant amount of interaction and patience.As a result I would just ask that any interested young woman be true to herself when thinking about the opportunity within our family.
