Au Pair - Waiter/Waitress
Finnish/Swedish family living in Mallorca, Spain is looking for an Au Pair who will also have the opportunity to work half time as waiter/waitress in the family run restaurant. The family lives in the old town of Alc dia and run a Bistro located in the same house. The Bistro also employs three more staff who are all coming from Scandinavia.
As an Au Pair your duties will be to care for the one year old baby, regarding feeding, napping, bathing etc. In your duties will also be lighter house hold work as laundry and vacuum cleaning. The Au Pair duties consists of 20 hours per week and will mainly be performed in the morning and afternoon. You will need to have experience or education in child care. Of utmost importance is that you are trustworthy and responsible and has a good sense to organise your duties and a true interest in child care. You will be provided your own room in an apartment shared by the employees of the Bistro.
You do not need to have experience of restaurant work, but it is of course a plus. It is though important that you have a genuine interest in learning the skills of the restaurant trade and to perform a good job. You will be offered thorough training and assistance. You need to speak good English and knowledge in any other language is a plus. You also need to be service-minded and to have the ability to handle stress. The restaurant employment consists of 20-28 hours work every week and is paid by the hour.
The employment starts 1 April and finishes for the season 31 October. The salary is according to agreement. The company will provide Social Security and insurance according to Spanish law.
Bistro Bell is a restaurant located on the pedestrian main street of the old town in Alcudia, Mallorca. Bistro Bell is open for lunch and dinner and has a capacity of 35 covers on the street terrace and 20 inside. The menu is presenting local ingredients in a global setting. Several classics are side-by-side original Bistro Bell dishes. The kitchen and service team consists of six persons. The restaurant is open from April through October. Bistro Bell has Scandinavian owners and the company language is English.
