Hi! This letter is to introduce you toour family, to tell you a little bit about us, where we live and what it might be like for you if you joined us as an au pair. Life is very busy in our household - busy and hectic but also lots of fun! My husband works as a lawyer and is currently working 4 days a week with Air New Zealand and I am working full time as a flight attendant . We really need someone who can come and join our family and, as part of the family, help us with childcare during the working week. Our home is a villa which we moved out onto our land from Auckland city almost 5 years ago. It is a wooden house and houses like these are often relocated in New Zealand. It is a lovely house with polished wooden floors, high ceilings and lots of decks leading outside, which is lovely in the summer. You would have your own bedroom with an ensuite and French doors which lead out onto the deck (verandah) which wraps around the house. Everything is newly renovated. Auckland is about 15minutes drive away. Our daugther will bee 7 in March and is just coming to the end of her second year at primary school. She is a very bright girl who enjoys reading and her karate class. She is currently very keen on all things pink and connected to the movie High School Musical! Our son is almost 5 and will start school after the summer holidays, in February 2008. He is very keen to learn soccer and the soccer boots he has inherited from an older cousin are one of his prized possessions - a little big, but he will grow into them, eventually. Next year both children will start at our local school. They have had swimming classes in the past but can't swim yet and this is an activity that we think they would very much enjoy doing with you. We don't have our own pool yet (although plans are progressing for one), but lots of friends and neighbours do which is great in the summer. We currently have a bach that we would love for you to join us at. Looking forward to hearing from you. To find out more please visit www.aupairdownunder.com
