Dear Prospective Au Pair, We are the Marsden's and we'd like to tell you about our family.We (Tom and Jessica) are in our mid-thirties and met over 13 years ago while in college at Yale.Since then, we have lived in Washington, DC, Chicago, Illinois and now Atlanta, where we have been for the past seven years, moving here just after the Olympics.They are all healthy and happy kids.Tim will be in third grade and John will be in first grade at the neighborhood public school from 8 AM until 3 PM.Bill attends a pre-school every day from 9:30 to 1:30.When he is not in school, he likes to play soccer and play outside with the other boys in the neighborhood.He also likes computer games and he is learning to play guitar.Annie likes to play with her dolls, dance around and put on little girl make-up.Annie is an adventurous 3 year-old who loves superheroes and he is a lot of fun.All the kids play together very nicely.They especially like music and games.We live in a wonderful, tree-filled neighborhood about ten minutes from downtown Atlanta.Although many Atlantans commute and spend a lot of time in their cars, we tend not to.We mainly stay in the city, as opposed to the suburbs, and we like to do as much as we can in our neighborhood.Both kids' schools are less than five minutes from home and we love the parks, restaurants and stores nearby.There is a wonderful botanic garden, art museum, science museum and natural history museum only minutes away and we like to take advantage of this. We are fortunate to own a second home outside of Atlanta (about two hours away) in a mountainous area in northeast Georgia.Our mountain house is a log cabin, situated next to a stream with small waterfalls.It is in the woods, bordering an enormous U.S.government forest.We like to go hiking and fishing, have campfires and generally be outdoors when we are up there.Frequently, friends join us when we go.We tend to go up there one or two weekends per month.We're confident that an au pair would enjoy both our family and living in Atlanta.We will introduce our au pair to the many activities and sights the city has to offer.Our au pair will have a car to take advantage of the city and to attend classes at a local university, most probably Emory University, a world class institution only 2 miles from our house.Our au pair will also benefit from a network of other au pairs right here in the neighborhood.For the past three years we have had au pairs from Thailand.We have enjoyed getting to know both of them and we are looking forward to another great year with Au Pair in America.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Fri resa och sjukförsäkring ingår (värde 5800:-) om du har en komplett ansökan före den 31 juli 2008.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
