Au Pair/Atlanta, Georgia

Hello!We are the Kensington's of Marietta, Georgia, which is a suburb of Atlanta in the southern United States.Atlanta is a great city - full of young people with lots to see and do.In Atlanta there is something for everyone - nightclubs, theatres, art museums, sports teams.Atlanta is now the 9th largest metropolitan city in the US and was host city of the 96 Summer Olympics.Now a little background.Steven and I married in 1985 (wow ...I can't believe we have been married almost 25 years!!!I still feel like I am 29!) We had our first son, Jonathan, in January 1994.I wonder where the time has gone - my boys are growing up so fast!All three boys are in school during the day.Jonathan attends high school and leaves the house by 7am.We share a carpool with several families who live nearby.Parts of our au pair's responsibilities include participating in that carpool.We usually drive in the mornings and afternoons every 3rd or 4 th week.Patrick and Marc attend the same school. We keep in contact with several of our former au pairs.In fact, we may venture to Sweden as a family someday to visit our former Au Pair, Sofia, and our current Au Pair, Ida, who will go back to Sweden in August.Steven and I are originally from Philadelphia (which is in Pennsylvania in the Northeastern US) and we generally travel there once a year with our children to visit our families.More frequently we visit Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where my parents have a beautiful beach vacation home. We have had an au pair (specifically an au pair through the APIA program) for the past fourteen years.We truly have enjoyed the experience and have made many friends from other countries that we still keep in touch with.We were recently invited to England for our first au pair's wedding ...that was very special!One of our Au Pair's from France wanted all three of our boys to attend a French soccer camp last summer - she wanted to look after them there!We have kept in touch with many of the girls after they leave and encourage visits back to our family.We think it is very important that we become friends with our Au Pairs - we want them to feel part of our family and are included in any of our family activities.We are looking forward to talking with you soon and hopefully meeting in the near future!Tillträde: Hösten -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
