Au Pair/Belmont, Massachusetts

Hi!We live in a house in a suburb outside Boston, Massachusetts.I am a lawyer and work in Boston.I'm divorced.We also have a cat, Mackie, and by the time you come we might have another one.My boyfriend, Mark, is usually at our house once or twice a week.Mark is also 45.He lives in a small beach town (called Nonquitt, more on that later) on the southeast coast of Massachusetts. Tim and Cynthia will be ten years old in October 2008.They will be in fourth grade at the elementary school which is five minutes from our house.Cynthia is a very social girl.She loves sleepovers and play dates with her friends.She loves reading, drawing, playing outside, sports, computer games, card games, helping in the kitchen, listening to music, singing, lip-synching, drama, movies, having friends over and visiting friends.Tim is a big, strong, athletic, smart, insecure boy.He reads and does math at an advanced level.He loves reading, computer games, card games, and other complicated building toys.He loves to play games with balls (baseball, basketball, soccer) and to ride his bike.Before and after school, he wants to be in the backyard playing catch or basketball!He is a very steady personality, and once he decides he likes you, he will love you.He often has trouble figuring out how he feels and speaking his feelings.Your schedule changes depending upon, whether the children are in school or on vacation, and the time of year.You will prepare the children's lunches, and will probably prepare dinner for the children Monday through Friday.During the school year, I would typically need you to work Monday Friday from about 7 a.m.until, 8:30 a.m.The children walk (with you) to and from school.On bad-weather days you can drive.They are in, school from 8:30 -2:40, and stay in school in an extended-day program.We live in our own house, which is small but has a cheery room for you.Our neighborhood is one of small homes and neighbors close by.There are lots of other au pairs in our town and in our "cluster"; the au pairs often get together for social events like going into Cambridge to drink coffee or hear a band, or going to the malls to window shop, or out to movies, or to each other's houses or into Boston.Boston and Cambridge have lots of international students and wonderful cultural life.There are colleges, museums, concerts, plays, musicals, restaurants, sporting events, and wonderful streets and parks to stroll along and shops to explore.There are wonderful beaches accessible by the "T" (our subway system).All my au pairs have loved Cambridge and Boston.You will have your own telephone, answering machine, TV, and cd player in your room.Tilträde: Hösten -08 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
