Au Pair/Bethesda. MD.

Arbetsbeskrivning

We are a family of four and live in Bethesda, MD which is a small suburb just outside of Washington, DC.My name is Emma and my husband's name is Caleb.I would describe our family as Fun, easy going and organized. We like to curl up in the evenings and watch a video or read books together. On the weekends we venture out each day to visit with friends, go to a restaurant, go to a play date or shop at the mall.Sometimes we are lazy and just make waffles and watch cartoons all morning.Weekends are family time for us - time to he with our kids and to be with each other.I work as a Consultant for a software company in McLean, VA (about 20 minutes from home). My job is somewhat demanding and I usually leave the house each morning around 8:00 am and leave work around 5:45pm.I occasionally work late, but Caleb comes home earlier when that is the case. Caleb works as a Marketing Manager fo a cellular phone company. He travels occasionally as well (two to three times per month) for one to three nights at a time.We can usually coordinate our travel schedules so that they do not overlap with each other - however, an occasional overlap should be expected (once a month or every other month).Paige is our oldest child and is almost four years old.She is a fun loving little girl with short curly hair (her trademark). She is sometimes shy when approaching new situations, but quickly warms up to those around her.Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese and she loves anything "princess" oriented.Paige takes ballet class on Saturday mornings and loves to sing, play with her dolls and do puzzles.Ryan is our youngest child. He is almost two years old and has a very silly sense of humor.Ryan loves the character Elmo from Sesame Street.Ryan loves dogs and is a very playfull child.Although this has worked well for our family for the past three and half years, it is becoming difficult for us to cover both work and travel. As an interim solution we have a babysitter that has helped us out to pick up the kids from daycare occasionally and spend the night when both of us need to travel. This has been a wonderful short term solution, but her availability is not guaranteed and she will be graduating from law school this year and will not be able to help us out when she starts her new job.We would like to transition our kids into a situation with an au pair. Our plan is to have the au pair start and to cut back the children's hours in day care by a few hours each week over a two week period.Once the children are home full time with the au pair, we will plan to then start them in a local preschool a few mornings a week.It Will be the job of the au pair to occasionally drop them off at preschool, but to always pick them up.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.
