Au Pair/Boston, Massachusetts.

We are a family of five living in a suburb close to Boston, Massachusetts.We have had one Au Pair with us before and it was a very good experience and we still keep in touch and have even seen her twice when she visited us here in the USA and once when we visited her in her country.We consider ourselves a good family situation for an au pair given that we have had a few other nannies over the past 14 years, with two of them staying over 4 years each.We value education and strive to bring up well adjusted, well-educated children.Our children are going to the Newton public schools.Our family activities center around exposing the children to all sorts of activities including sports, playgrounds, computers, reading, museums and lots of family.One of the attractive things about an Au Pair is that they expose the children (and us) to the cultural and societal differences of different people from around the world. The weekly activities for the kids are varied but fairly regular.The Au Pair's workdays would be almost exclusively Mon-Friday and would consist of a split day.The early morning would be getting the kids fed, dressed and off to school.There would be no primary childcare responsibilities during the middle of the day except when kids are sick or otherwise not in school.The childcare responsibilities resume after 2:30 or 3pm until the parents get home from work and includes children's laundry, clean up kids stuff, reading, playing, puzzles, playground, play dates as well as taking them to after school activities (like soccer, baseball, music lessons, educational tutors, religious school, etc).We live in a house at a dead-end street in Newton.It has 12 rooms, 4.5 baths, garages and a good-sized backyard, open and somewhat shared with other children in the adjoining 3 homes.In fact, the Au Pair will pretty much have the full lower level to herself if the kids are not playing its the playroom area there which they don't do often or for too long, The neighborhood has many kids and young families.Boston is only about 7 miles away, or 10 minutes by ear.The Commuter Rail into Boston is a 5-minute walk from the house and the long distance bus to out of state (New York, etc,) is a 10-15 minute walk away.A car is available primarily for childcare related activities though limited personal use is allowed too.Tillträde: Vintern -07 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
