We truly enjoy being parents and love our active little boys more than anything. Both my husband and I are professionals.My husband is an Electrical Engineer, specializing in research and development.He is a co-owner in his own consulting company and has several patents outstanding in his field.I am a Senior Vice President, specializing in corporate HR and benefit programs.My position requires some travel, typically a few nights away every other week.All 3 boys are extremely bright.They hold an appreciation for writing and reading books and are considered to have speech skills well beyond what is typical of their ages.They also love their time outdoors playing sports, riding their bikes, or looking for treasure, or just playing an the swings.We have been told by teachers and prior nannies, that they each have a very strong family focus and in particular hold their other brothers with a special regard.My husband and I have enjoyed sharing our home with an au pair and have found that they too have thoroughly enjoyed their time with our family.We have complete respect for our au pair's privacy, offer them all of the comforts of home, and welcome them at family activities.Many families are different with their approach to having an au pair.For us, we see the au pair as a member of the family, The commitment of the au pair should go beyond that of a daily job, and rather integrate into the special aspects of family life (attending a family birthday party, or a special soccer game that is not held during working hours).The au pair's space' within our home is also fully integrated.
