Au Pair/Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Mary is a physician and Chris is an administrator at Duke University Hospital.We live in North Carolina, in a suburb about 3 miles outside of a town called Chapel Hill.There are two other larger cities within a 15-30 minute drive -Durham and Raleigh.Chapel Kill is the home of the University of North Carolina, which has 15,000 students. The au pair's normal hours are 7:00 - 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM for Monday through Friday - with some additional hours on weekend afternoons or nights on occasion.The au pair is expected to drive the automobile to drop off and pick up the children for school and various after-school activities.Jennifer's weekly activities include tutoring and various sporting practices/games.Amanda's weekly activities include ballet and piano lessons.Our suburban neighborhood has approximately 100 homes - and many families in the neighborhood have school-age children.We live in a five-bedroom house, and have a separate bedroom with private bathroom, cable television, stereo, and personal computer for the au pair.In addition, we have an extra automobile for the au pair to use in conjunction with her child care responsibilities - and is available for the au pair for her free time.In our leisure time, we enjoy getting out to attend fairs/festivals, museums, movies, parks, sporting events, the zoo, bicycle riding, or just playing/relaxing in the back yard.We belong to a swimming & tennis country club - and spend a lot of time at the pool in the summer.We take our vacations/holidays primarily during the summer, and will go to the beach in North Carolina.Mary's parents/family live in Fredericksburg, Virginia - about a 4 hour drive away -and we visit with them (home or away) about once every couple of months.Chris' parents live in Florida, and we see them about 2-3 times a year.We are looking for an au pair that loves children, is interested in helping our children develop and grow, wants to be a part of our family for a year with us and continue to be part of our extended family in the future, is energetic and has a positive attitude, is flexible in dealing with the inevitable changes and challenges that occur in everyday life, is willing to participate in two-way communication to make sure the relationship is working for everyone, and wants to have fun in the United States for a year.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Fri resa och sjukförsäkring ingår (värde 5800:-) om du har en komplett ansökan före den 31 juli 2008.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
