Au Pair/Chicago

Thank you for considering living with our family this year.We have two wonderful sons: Jose, who is nine years old and Jonathan, who is five and one-half years old.Jose is delightful, sensitive, imaginative and incredibly smart and loves anything to do with history and Star Wars.Jonathan is very expressive, adventurous and interested in anything his big brother likes.He also loves to dance with Jose.We had au pairs for almost three years from early 2004 through late 2006, and both boys adored them.All together, our boys have had au pairs and babysitters from Brazil and Germany, and nannies from Poland and India.We live in a neighborhood known as Hyde Park, just south of the central business and cultural center of Chicago (the "Loop").Hyde Park is also the location of the University of Chicago, one of the top universities in the world with a beautiful campus.The home we live in (a three story "townhouse") is a short walk from the university campus, many retail stores and cafes, and public transportation to the Loop.There are people from all over the world living in Hyde Park.There are also other au pairs in the neighborhood.Our au pairs have made friends with many people, including people from their countries, who live in Hyde Park and throughout Chicago.There are lots of things to do in Hyde Park and it is also one of the most convenient places from which to explore Chicago.We live about one kilometer from Lake Michigan, which has many beaches and tennis courts and we are near the beginning of a public bicycle and jogging path which extends more than thirty kilometers north along the lakefront.We are also just a 5-minute walk from the train and bus -- both take less than 20 minutes to get to the Loop.We have taken our au pairs on various family outings, including to the Art Institute, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Brookfield Zoo, and to our favorite restaurants.Thank you for considering living with us and becoming a part of our family.Tillträde: Vintern/våren -08 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
