Hello!We are looking forward to having you join our family in America.We live in Clear Lake City, a community that is a southern suburb of Houston.Texas.I'm the host mom (my name is Lisa), and my husband's name is Rodney.We have three children.David is the oldest.He is thirteen years old and in the eight grade at Webster Intermediate School.They are twins - nine years old and in third grade at Falcon Pass Elementary School.I thought I would give you a bit more information about each of our children, so that you might know something about them.David is a bright and active young boy, and is very self-assured.He is a good student, and works hard to make sure that he maintains good grades. Danielle is in fourth grade this year and really enjoys her time at school.She enjoys stories, and is a very avid reader.Danielle enjoys art, and really likes to do art projects such as drawing, colouring, painting or craftwork.She often does these projects during the afternoon when she returns home from school.She has been taking piano lessons for three years, and is starting to get pretty good! Rodney is Danielle's twin brother.He too, is a fourth grader.Rodney is a very affectionate, loving child.He is usually quite happy-go-lucky, and is a lot of fun to be around.Like Danielle, he also likes reading, but he seems to get more enjoyment out of doing math problems (like adding or subtracting numbers).He is a good thinker, and often tells us entertaining, imaginative stories that lie create in his head. We have an active family life, and you will be very busy during the week driving our kids to their activities, and helping them with their homework after school.We have plenty of time to play, too.We enjoy doing things together, including things like swimming, hiking, snow skiing, and going to the movies.We have our own swimming pool in the backyard, and because it is warn in Houston, we can swim almost all year (although we DID have to turn the pool heater on over the Christmas holidays!We like for our Au Pair to be a part of our family, and hope that you would enjoy sharing our life with us over the next year.We look forward to meeting you, learning about your interests and your home, and hope to have a very pleasant year.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Skandinaviska Institutet ordnar visum för 13 månader.Intervju görs på följande orter: Stockholm, Malmö, Sölvesborg, Göteborg, Gävle, Umeå, Växjö, Örebro och Linköping.
