Au Pair/Columbus, Ohio

Dear Au Pair; Greetings from the United States!I know you must be very excited about your upcoming experience in America.Let me tell you a few things about our family.My husband has a Labor Consulting practice based in Michigan, and travels between Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business.I have worked for a variety of multinational companies.Currently I am a Senior Vice President of Finance for a company.Sandra is completing the 7th Grade at an all girls private school in Columbus, and loves it.She is very smart, very outgoing, and loves to swim, play tennis and play the piano.Sharon is completing 3rd grade at a private co-educational school.Sharon is also very smart.She is quieter than her older sister, but loves to do puzzles, work in workbooks, and play with Barbie Dolls.We have had Au Pairs live with us for 8 years, since Sharon was born, from countries as diverse as France, Germany, Thailand and Latvia.The Au Pairs are always excited about meeting new au pairs and learning about new cultures.We currently reside in Columbus, Ohio which is the capital of the state of Ohio.Our house is across the street from a golf course.It is a 5-bedroom home, and each bedroom has its own bathroom.Our Au Pair has a large private bedroom with bath, TV, VCR and a walk in closet.We have a large back yard with a swing set for the kids, and there are bike paths all around the area we live in.Despite being the largest city in Ohio, Columbus is very easy to get around in.Downtown Columbus is a 20-minute drive away.It is also the home of a large university, Ohio State, which has 60,000 students and is well known throughout the country for its athletic program.There is also some great shopping here, with several recent additions of new shopping malls and stores.Columbus is also relatively close (driving distance) to 3 other large cities.Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan.Because we have lots of prior experience with Au Pairs, we know it is important for you to become an integral part of our family life.I want to involve you in all of the planning for the kids' homework and activities.It is important that we have open communication at all times, and that we help you make a smooth transition into the local Au Pair cluster here in Columbus.We hope to help you learn a lot about American life, make great friends, and become an integral part of our family.See you soon.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.ERBJUDANDET FÖRLÄNGT TILL DEN 18 AUGUSTI Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
