Au Pair/Detroit

We live in a nice suburb of Detroit, and moved to our home in April of 1998.It is located in the "lakes region," and we have at least a dozen lakes within a five-mile radius of our home.Although we do not live directly on a lake, virtually everywhere you drive there is a beautiful lake.Our neighborhood has many children, and at least two other Au Pairs.The children in our neighborhood are mostly babies to 14 years of age, which means there are a lot of kids to play with on a regular basis.Steve grew up in Bloomfield Hills, a city adjacent to West Bloomfield.He attended Albion College, then Detroit College of Law before pursuing an advanced law degree from Boston University.After graduating from Boston University, Steve came back to the Detroit area, where he worked as an attorney for five years.Desiring a change of pace, Steve worked for a large transportation conglomerate for 6 years and is currently pursuing other opportunities at present.Steve is a very active tennis player, as well as a paddle tennis player (a game that is played outdoors in the winter).Steve also is an avid Formula 1 racing fan.Dana also grew up in the Detroit area, being raised primarily in Southfield before her family moved to Orchard Lake.She is a graduate of Mercy High School, where she was part of the State Champion basketball team.After high school, she attended Boston College, and received a finance degree.Dana has been with this company since 1989.Dana is also an active tennis player and paddle tennis player as well.She enjoys gardening, and plants a beautiful garden of flowers each year.They are both very active children, and dove to be outside whenever they can.They enjoy riding their bikes and scooters, playing tennis and golf, and really enjoy swimming in the pool.They also have enjoyed their previous au pairs very much.Lana is the youngest in our family.She will be 3 years old in September, and is a very good girl.She smiles all the time, enjoys music; dancing and loves to play outside.She has a special blanket, in the shape of a bear that she carries with her everywhere.This past April, we bought a dog, a German Wire Hair Pointer named Becker.He is a great dog even though he is still a puppy.He loves people and is especially fond of children.As a family, we are quite active.We generally do most things as a family, whether it is going to the store, out for dinner or going to the zoo.We also belong to Orchard Lake Country Club, which has swimming, tennis, golf and sailing, and spend as much time there as possible during the summer.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Fri resa och sjukförsäkring ingår (värde 5800:-) om du har en komplett ansökan före den 31 juli 2008.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
