Au Pair/Detroit, MI.

We are a happy family of four, consisting of myself (Ed -43 years old), Hank (11), Penelope (9) and Prue (7).We have a wonderful opportunity for a young lady to come into our home and be part of a fun and outgoing family.We live in a quiet suburb of Detroit, Michigan.Detroit (which is about 1/2 drive by car) is a major metropolitan area.Detroit is approximately 1 million people.The suburbs out here are quiet beautiful, with many lakes and lots of outdoor activities.There are also many museums, theaters and other similar theaters for the arts.Our neighbor hood is quiet, very pleasant and we have warm, friendly neighbors.We have a nice backyard with lots of trees and a swing set where the girls will play for hours at a time.There is a lot of shopping within just a few miles of the house.I am a divorced father with custody of the three children.Their mother lives several hours away and sees them about every other weekend.As a result, I need someone who will get the kids ready for school in the morning and then care for them after school until I get home.Hank who is 11, will be in 6th grade in the fall, which is when our kids leave elementary school and start middle school.This is a big step for him.Hank is an early bird, and is often up and out of bed even before I am.He's very clever, and has a very funny sense of humor.Penelope, who is 9, will be in 5th grade in the fall.Penelope is a very bright young lady and very feminine.She has long, beautiful hair, and loves to have someone help her with her hair every morning, doing something different every day.It is a big plus if you can make up girls hair in different styles!She has a wonderful sense of style for a 9-year-old girl, and she likes to get her clothes and matching earrings or hair clips ready the night before school.Prue, who is 7, will be in 3rd grade.Prue is the baby of the family.She still loves to climb up in my lap.I think she still very much enjoys being a little girl.She loves her huggable stuffed animals.She loves to be the family clown and always keeps us laughing. We have had 3 young ladies stay with us through the Au Pair program, and we have had a good experience with all 3.The kids think that it is really cool to have someone from a foreign country living with us and sharing their culture (although you will have a hard time getting the girls to share your food - they are picky eaters!).They love to tell their friends all about the special member of our family.Most importantly, a sense of adventure.I am blessed with Wonderful children and while our family situation is a bit unusual, I think my kids are fantastic.They are funny, clever, smart, outgoing, athletic and responsible.We believe we have a special opportunity for a special person to become part of our family!Tillträde: Hösten/vintern -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
