Au Pair/Falls Church, Virginia

Hello and greetings from Virginia.We look forward to welcoming you into our home and having you with us for the next year.Falls Church is located just a few miles from Washington, D.C., and is a very nice community.We are within walking-distance of the subway, which makes it very easy to get around to Washington's numerous free museums, monuments, and other attractions.Our house is also within walking distance of restaurants, shops, the post office, library, churches, and at least seven parks, which is important to our boys who like to be outside.We have three boys.They are all happy and active most of the day.All the boys like all things related to trains, and have a large train set that they play with every day.They all like to read stories, although they are interested in different kinds of books.Gary likes to do art projects, read, play Gameboy - typical eight year old boy stuff.He always has a project he is working on.Nick is a talker and loves trains the most.All the boys like to watch television (more than we would like, sometimes).We try to keep their television time to one hour per day or less.The boys' schedule is fairly constant during the week.Joe attends school Monday through Friday, as does Gary.Nick goes from 9-12 this year and he will start all day Kindergarten.Both of the older boys are involved in soccer and swimming lessons, but we do not know the schedule yet.Nick begins preschool three days per week.When the weather is nice, we like for the boys to play outside as much as possible.Your responsibilities will include watching the boys during the work week.Peter is a commercial real estate broker who works nearby in Alexandria, Virginia.He enjoys hockey, reading books, and is active in the community.Kelly is the Chief Operations officer with an international conservation organization.She enjoys cooking, exercising, and reading.As a family, we like to visit museums (such as the Baltimore train museum).During the summer, we try to take an interesting vacation - either we rent a beach house for a couple of weeks, or something similar.We are excited about the cultural exchange of the au pair program and look forward to learning about your country.We look forward to seeing you.Tillträde: Hösten -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
