Kane is our oldest son, 21 years old.He lives with us and works full time with Owen's business.He enjoys working o his performance car and dirt bike riding.Matt is 17 years old and will graduate from High school next fall.He will be attending Fairleigh Dickinson University in the fall of 2007.This university is only 1 hour away, but he will be living on campus.Matt will be working toward a degree in Film.Matt enjoys skateboarding and surfing in his spare time and spending time with his friends.Kane and Matt are self sufficient and would, of course, not need any care from our care giver.Sharon is our 13 years old daughter who does have special needs.Sharon is nonverbal, but does communicate her needs by leading us to what she wants.She is a sweet and playful girl, but is limited in her cognitive abilities.Sharon enjoys listening and dancing to music, going to the mall, parks, swimming and watching TV.Sharon is a real girl in that she loves jewelry, shoes, makeup, all the glitz and glamour of being a girl.Sharon needs assistance with eating, dressing, bathing and needs to be followed at all times so she does not come to any harm.Sharon does have pain sometimes that cause her to cry and get very upset.She cannot tell us what is hurting her so there is not much we can do except stay with her and try to keep her safe and try to calm her down.This may last 15-20 minutes 1-2 times a week.We are return hosts to Au pair in America.We have had women from South Africa, Thailand, Germany, Zimbabwe and Poland.Most of the Au Pairs we have had adjust well to Sharon and end up falling in love with her.Leaving her was hard for some of them.We live on a farm with horses.The property is large and very well taken care of.You would be staying in an apartment above the barn.It is brand new, no one has lived in it yet.It consists of a kitchen/living room, bedroom and bathroom and just a few steps form the main house.We would still like you to come and spend family time with us and enjoy watching movies or going places as a family with us.We live 7 minutes from a huge mall; 25 minutes from the ocean and 5 minutes from the main town of Freehold.There is a Arts Center 20 minutes from us that major performers perform at during the summer, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, etc..
