Au Pair/Fremont, CA

Joe is a native of New York State and I of Colorado.I work as a Nurse Practitioner and Diabetes Educator and Joe serves as a Clinical Manager at the University of Colorado Hospital.Joe and I both have varied experience with other cultures as we encounter patients from around the world on a daily basis.I was raised by a stepmother who spoke Spanish fluently as she and her parents were Spanish descendents.As a host family, we have a lot to offer.Our au pair would have a lot of privacy and would have the master bedroom suite with a bathroom since my husband and I have moved our room upstairs to be closer to the baby's room.If our au pair is musically inclined, we own a small grand piano, guitar and a French horn.Both Joe and I sing indifferent choirs and the au pair would be welcome to join the Presbyterian Church choir where Carol sings.California has 360 days of sunshine a year and our neighborhood has many walking/bike trails and is quite safe.Our community also has an outdoor swimming pool 1/2 block from our and tennis courts.We like to spend time in the mountains hiking and biking.We have 2 vehicles and public transportation is also available.We have no current set activity schedule for our children, but may sign them up for a playgroup or at least a play date with his old baby sitter's family once a week since they have all grown quite fond of each other.We also sing, listen to music, dance, color, and read with our children a lot.Willy currently takes one nap a day.The baby will have a more defined schedule with naptimes and eating. We wish to have an au pair because we primarily desire that our children spend their young years in a homey environment with someone who can care and nurture for them much as we would.Our highest goal is that they get quality, safe care and that they are happy.Having an au pair in our home would also decrease our commute time from I hour to 20 minutes allowing us to spend more time at home with our family.The qualities that we most desire in an au pair are that they are very "kid friendly", like to play and interact with children and understand child health, safety and development.An au pair needs to be an emotionally strong person, with very good English, who is not insecure as they will be far from home and will need to be able to communicate their needs to us clearly as they care for our children.Tillträde: Vintern/Våren -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
