Au Pair/Glastonbury, CT.

We live in Glastonbury, Connecticut.It is a twenty-minute ride into Hartford, the nearest city.It is a pretty drive up a long hill to our home.Glastonbury is a large town (32,500 people and 51 square miles).We live in a nine room two-story house.The basement level of our home is finished.We use it as a playroom for the kids.Our au pair has a bedroom on the second floor of our home and shares a bathroom with the kids.There are a lot of families like us in our neighborhood.Robin and I have many friends here.There are other families in Glastonbury and nearby towns who have au pairs.We have had au pairs for the last four years.We like the program very much.We enjoy learning about our au pair's countries.We like it when our au pairs travel in the U.S.We try to stay in touch with our au pairs after they leave us.When there's a concern, we talk about it.On nights when it makes sense for the au pair to give the kids dinner before activities or nights when the au pair is working all evening, the au pair is responsible for giving the boys dinner.If she is working in the evening, she sends the boys to bed.Our au pair is responsible for the children's laundry and supervising clean up of the kid's rooms and play areas, as well as keeping her own room and belongings neat.Our au pair pitches in on household chores as a member of the family would.She does not clean the house.We have a cleaning service that comes every other week.During summer, our au pair will usually work from 8 A.M.until 5 P.M.or perhaps 8 A.M.until 6:00 P.M.with one day ending early to keep the au pair to a forty-five hour week.We are in a pool and tennis club, and the au pair will take the boys to the club often.Swim team runs through early August.Both boys swim with the team.We also have a house near the beach that is about an hour from home.We use it on the weekends in the summer, and usually take a vacation there that is at least one week long, We will generally have one week long trip during the February or April week school vacation.We expect the au pair to take one week of her vacation somewhere else during this time.We'll work together to schedule the remaining au pair vacation time at a time that works for everyone.We are a warm and loving family.We want our children to learn about the world and all the people in it.We think the au pair experience will help them become better citizens of the world.Our au pair is a valuable member of our family who has an important role in managing our busy family life.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Sommaren -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
