Madison is originally from Elmhurst, a suburb west of Chicago.Madison's parents, sister, nieces and cousins all live in the area and she has a brother who lives in Florida.She went to college in Iowa and moved to Chicago in 1994 after spending 6 months living in Seville, Spain as an exchange student.Alexander is from Portland, Oregon, went to college in Seattle, Washington and moved to Chicago in 1995 after graduation.Most of Alexander's family still lives on the west coast of the United States, in San Jose, California, Portland, Oregon and Washington State.Baby Thompson is still on the way, so it will be difficult to tell what his or her specialty will be, but we suspect eating, sleeping and dirtying diapers will be top on the list to start.We are both very excited to become parents and are looking forward to city life as a family.Lincoln Square is approximately 5 miles (49 blocks) north of the downtown business district of Chicago.Chicago is a city of neighborhoods and most of them are on the north side.We are in walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as several very large city parks.In the summertime, the City of Chicago, particularly the north side, is host to a number of street festivals and live music.Our house is also located within walking distance of all major public transportation-the subway known in Chicago as the "El", the Metro train and buses.We would expect our Au Pair to provide individual and personal care for our child and become a part of our family.Having an Au Pair as a member of our family provides a sense of "home" for our child and provides a flexible form of care for our child since we both works outside the house.It's important for us to have a mature, confident, and very reliable person caring for our child.While caring for our child, Baby Thompson must be the top priority for the Au Pair.We would expect our Au Pair to care for our child according to a pre-set schedule and pre-set responsibilities.We would expect our Au Pair to care for the baby Monday thru Friday during the day.The schedule may vary, some days it may be the entire day, other days it may be for a few hours in the morning or evening, or an occasional Saturday evening.For the most part weekends would be free time.Our Au Pair should bring with her another culture to share and be someone interested in learning more about the United States and our culture.We are excited to share our city and exchange cultures.We look forward to having you join our family in Chicago!Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Hösten -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
