Au Pair/Maplewood, New Jersey

They are both good kids who get along well with each other.They have a good sense of humor, are very social, love to be outdoors, play, and listen to stories and music.Adam likes cars, trucks, trains, dinosaurs and construction.He likes to be a helper and is very inquisitive.He also like to sing and will make up songs to familiar tunes.Julie is building her vocabulary daily and is starting to express interest in using "the potty".She is very active and seems quite athletic.When she is awake, she rarely likes to sit still, except for a snuggle in your lap.One of our favorite activities lately is to make pillow, forts and piles in our family room.We have two yellow Labrador Retrievers - Scout (age 9) and Mitford (age 7).In addition to spending time with our children and dogs, we enjoy traveling, reading, listening to music and working out.We also have an appreciation for fine food and wine and enjoy entertaining friends and family in our home.Alan is the resident food and wine expert and is a wonderful cook.We are looking for our third au pair to join us.Alan and I both work full time.We moved to New Jersey two and a half years ago from Connecticut.We live just outside of New York City, about 25 minutes by train.Maplewood is a lovely town with a great little town center, old houses, big trees, hills, sidewalks and streetlights.Our house is one block from the town center and the train station and a short walk to the library and several playgrounds/parks.Our house was built in 1900 and includes a third floor suite with a full bath for an au pair.We will provide our au pair with a computer, Internet access, a television, and a cell phone.
