Arbetsbeskrivning

Tom is a doctor of Hematology and Oncology, i.e.patients with blood diseases and cancers. He works in a practice with his father. He sees patients and teaches medical students and residents. At this time, he works long days and every fourth weekend.I am a psychiatrist.I see patients in my office three or four days a week, and have some flexibility which hours I work. Our life here in Michigan is wonderful. We live on a canal that leads to a beautiful lake, and we like to go on canoe rides. Our backyard is filled with trees and many water birds and animals, so it feels as if we are in a park.In the summer we enjoy grilling food and eating outside.Tom's parents, brother, sister-in-law, aunts, cousins, and grandfather all live here so we get together with them often. There are several fun things to do around the area.We enjoy swimming in Tom's parent's pool and water skiing and fishing during the summer on our lake.I usually love to run outside, and even ran a marathon a few years ago, but I also enjoy working out in our exercise room. There are great trails close by our home and we have bikes and roller blades to use on them.In the winter we can ice skate on the pond behind our home, and there are some small ski not far from here. Our area has great shopping and restaurants. In the fall we like to go to the apple orchards and pick fresh apples and raspberries, drink fresh apple cider, and eat hot homemade donuts.Canada is a short drive away and several cities, including Toronto, make beat weekend trips. There are also some great places to visit in North Michigan. We would love for the au pair to come with us in our travels. There is also a large group of au pairs around here for entertainment and travel partners. We are looking for an au pair that is responsible, loving, considerate, flexible, and has a good sense of humor. It is important that she is comfortable with, and enjoys being with young children. We have a basement bedroom, full bathroom, closet, TV, and kitchen for the au pair to use.We anticipate a typical week might be 4 weekdays and ½ weekend day or night (of course allowing for 1 ½ days on weekend minimum as per the rules). We would like for the au pair to clean up after herself and the children. We will all share cooking, errands, dog care, grocery shopping, and laundry duties. It would be great if she would teach the girls some of her language. We are excited about having another family member - our new au pair!
