Au Pair/Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Our family currently consists of Mandy(mom). Andre(dad) and Wallace(son). Wallace will be one year old next month and we are expecting our fourth member to be born in early January 2007. We have a very close family and enjoy doing many things together. We enjoy going on walks, watching movies together, going to the park, going to the zoo, the children's museum, taking day trips to Chicago and pretty much anything that allows us to be together on the weekends. I am a stay-at-home mom and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with Wallace. We spend a lot of time together taking gym and music classes, attending play-groups, going for lunch with friends, walks in the park during the warm months and walks through the mail during the snowy months! Currently we have a housekeeper who comes 3 days a week to clean our home and she is from Poland. She moved her just a couple of years ago and our family really loves her The community that we live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This would be the largest metropolitan city in the area. Here there are many cultural centers as well as museums and a zoo. For social activities there are several nightclubs, lounges and restaurants where she can attend. Closer to home there are also opportunities to meet young people. In particular we have family friends who currently have an Au Pair living with them and this I believe would be a wonderful way for Au Pair to get involved with other people in the community. Just a little further away is the city of Chicago. This is about 90 miles south of where we live and can be reached by car or by train. Chicago has so much to offer someone coming from a different culture! Someplace else our Au Pair may visit is Florida. This is where my family lives. We vacation there about three times/year each trip being about 1 - 2 weeks. Our Au Pair would be expected to join us on such trips. Overall, we hope to find an Au Pair who loves children as much as we do. We are applying for the Au Pair Extraordinaire program because the background of a formal education in childcare or the full-time experience in childcare is extremely important to us. I hope that I have given you a good overview of our family and we look forward to meeting or talking to someone from Au Pair in America one on one to share more of our interests as a family.
