Au Pair/Minneapolis, MN

My name is Ally and I am a single mother of 3 active, fun, and busy boys ages 8, 10 and 13 (almost 14).We live in a wonderful suburban neighborhood with many children and a large park behind our house.Our home has 5 bedrooms.One is vacant and will be private for the au pair.My sister lives about 5 houses away with her family.My Mother is also nearby and loves to cook and stop by with dessert.We have a nice pool in the backyard and like to use our grill and eat on the back deck.We are also within walking distance to a golf course.The boys sometimes walk over and play golf with their friends.The boys are active in sports and all play hockey and baseball.We balance the sports with music, (all play piano), and season tickets to the Children's theatre in Minneapolis.One reason we are looking for an au pair is that our schedules are busy and I really need another adult to help out.We have enjoyed the help of some college students, but the scheduling has been overwhelming for me with work.I will need someone to help with the driving, homework, grocery shopping, and general care of the children.Driving experience is important since you will likely drive daily.The schedule will vary depending on the week.I try and do an online calendar to stay organized.You may have to act as lifeguard by the pool, help out with homework, or help out with the boys' laundry. We also take turns working in the yard and generally stay active.We alI like to ski and live near a small ski hill.Last year we raced on a team.We also enjoy biking and live near a nice fitness club.We enjoy traveling and recently went to Disney World in Florida for a week vacation in March.We would expect the au pair to travel with us if possible. Minneapolis and St.Paul are large cities nearby, both within 30 minutes of driving.We have everything available from music clubs, sports teams, shopping, and good restaurants.We also live very close to the Mail of America which is the largest shopping Mall in the US.We are also within biking distance of a large zoo.I am a family physician and work about ten minutes away in a clinic.I work usually Monday thru Friday and work only 4 weekends per year!The boys are in school from the beginning of September until June.We look forward to having an au pair join our family and would be interested in someone staying a year or longer.Tillträde: Vintern -08/09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
