Au Pair/N. Bethesda, MD

To our prospective au pair, we are writing to introduce you to our family.We are both physicians and work together in a private practice of psychotherapy.Our home is about ten minutes from our office in downtown Bethesda, which is a lovely little city outside of Washington, D.C., and filled with many restaurants and shops. Ryan is going into 11th grade and Andrew into 8th grade.As the boys are older, they really do not need an au pair, other than driving them from school and to other activities.Ryan is a musician; plays the bass, guitar and piano, is an artist, very bright and definitely a teenager. Andrew is a sweet, conscientious boy who likes to make people laugh and is our household entertainer.Isa is going into 2nd grade and you would spend most of the time with her.With two older brothers, she is fairly mature for her age.She is very clever, with a great sense of humor and an infectious smile.Each day you would have to make sure that she sits down and does her homework when she gets home, in an organized fashion. Scott and I generally work until around 7:00 p.m.My schedule varies some from day to day. We have what I believe is a very warm and welcoming family.We are traditional Jews, and celebrate the Sabbath with a festive dinner and with singing every Friday night, usually inviting guests. We are looking for a Au Pair who is pleasant, mature, responsible, has common sense and is good with children and enjoys them at the ages our children are.Since driving has become a big part of this job, you should be an experienced and careful driver.We tend to be straight forward people and speak directly, so that problems do not brew underground and go unspoken.We are also aware of the potential for being homesick or lonely in a different country for a year, and know how important it is to be appreciated for your contributions to the household.We want you to feel comfortable in our home, feel it as your own, and live in it and with us as if we are family.We look forward to meeting you.Tillträde: Vintern/Våren -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
