Au Pair/New Rochelle, New York.

We are your typical American two-career family.I am a physician and my husband is a financial advisor.We live in a suburb of New York City called New Rochelle.Our community is very diverse with people from all over the world living in our city.We live on a quiet street, which is within walking distance to the local stores and bus stops.There is also a train station, which runs from New Rochelle to New York City, which is 5 minutes from our house by car.The trip to NYC is approximately 30 minutes.Our typical day starts around seven with everyone getting up and out for work or school.Ed (dad) and I are usually home by 6:30-7:00 during the week.Most nights I am home, but sometimes when I am on call, I have to spend the night at the hospital.But one of us is always home at night.We like to have dinner together when we can and the kids are to bed by 7:30-8:OOPM.I usually have to work one weekend out of the month, but that is usually from home.Our girls are very verbal and physically capable.We have worked hard to have our children be independent and to do things for themselves with supervision.They love having an au pair who like to do physical things with them and not just sit in front of the TV or watch a video.They like to play outside when the weather is nice and to do arts and crafts.They enjoy having play dates with friends from school and dancing.On the weekends, we like to do family activities like go to the movies or out to dinner.Carol has been playing soccer in their fall and spring and we like to attend her games.But many times, our weekends are unplanned, as we like to simply spend time with each other.Each year we take a family vacation for a week at some fun spot and our au pair usually goes with us.This year we went to Orlando, Florida and Disney World.During the summer, the girls like to go to camp and we go to our beach house in New Jersey far two weeks late in the summer before school starts.Our au pair usually goes with us there.Our au pair has her own room downstairs off of the kitchen with her own bathroom.We have an extra car for the au pair to use during her off time to visit her friends and see the area.We like for our au pair to feel like part of the family and to participate as much or little as she likes with our family.We encourage our au pair to make friends and to travel to see New York City and the rest of the country while they are here.We hope that you will love your year with us in America!We think that the experience will be one in a lifetime!Tillträde: Vintern -07 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
