Au Pair/New York.

We have been in the Au Pair program six years and have had some terrific experiences with our Au Pairs.So far, we have hosted Au Pairs from South Korea, South Africa, Brazil and Germany.Our current Au Pair is from Latvia and will be with us until early November.Laurie will start Fourth Grade in September.Laurie loves to read books and have them read to her.Laurie plays soccer, softball and lacrosse.Laurie is also on the swim team and takes junior sailing in the summer.She is a sensitive child and has a creative imagination. Marnia will start Third Grade in September.Marnia is a spirited and strong willed child with a wonderful sense of humor.She loves to play with her brother and sister and tries hard to keep up with them.Marnia and Laurie are thirteen months apart and are very close sisters. We live in Northport, a historic village overlooking a harbor that is located on the north shore of Long Island.It has an old-fashioned Main Street with many antique stores, shops and restaurants.We live in a circa 1900 Victorian style home with five bedrooms.We have been restoring the house since we moved in eight years ago.We are located a short walk from Main Street and a shorter walk to Northport Village park where the kids love to play at the playground, ride their bicycles arid watch the boats on the harbor.Northport is about a one-hour train ride to New York City on the Long Island Rail Road.As a family, we enjoy taking the children bicycling in the park or for walks into the village.In the summer we take many trips to the beach nearby on Long Island Sound and to the ocean on the South Shore of Long Island.We also belong to a club down the street that has a pool.The club is where the children participate in swim team and take sailing lessons.It is also where we keep our boat.If they are successful, sometimes we will cook the fish for dinner.We take the boat for trips in the Northport Bay and Long Island Sound.On these trips we swim from the boat to the local beach and take the children for rides on a tube.We also enjoy taking the children for rides in our Kayak.In summary, we are looking forward to sharing our home and our day to-day family life with an Au Pair who will also share her cultural experiences and customs with us.Tillträde: Hösten/Vintern -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
