Au Pair/New York.

We are a family of three plus a dog.As well as being a mother, I am a pediatric anesthesiologist and pediatric intensives at the teaching hospital for Columbia University in New York City.I am very involved with my children, but I love my work too.I have irregular working hours, so we need someone to help out who can be flexible.I like to read, cook, play piano and have casual dinners at home with friends.My daughter Emma is sixteen.She will be attending school in London next year where she will be living with her father.She will be home on vacations.She likes to read and listen to music.She is very intelligent and well informed.My son Jason just turned thirteen.He is young, bright, and very sweet.He likes video games and action films.He is a good artist.Jason will be entering seventh grade.He is a fun person.Jason has a few good friends who come to the house often after school.He has homework many evenings.Jason sometimes needs help with his homework.We live close to New York City in a neighborhood with a suburban atmosphere.Our house was built around 1900.It has nine rooms.We have a separate bedroom and bathroom for our childcare person.We can easily get into Manhattan by public transportation or by car.We shop and do other activities both in Manhattan and in Westchester County, which has a more suburban atmosphere.I am divorced from Jason's father, who lives in London.Jason visits them several times a year and they travel to London occasionally.We get along well.We also need help with simple dinner preparation, errands and Jason's laundry.We have a cleaning person who comes one day each week.Typically, I go to work at 7 or 8 in the morning.He is in school by 8:30 AM and finishes between 3 PM and 6 PM, depending on after school activities.I usually get home between 6 and 7 PM.One, occasionally two evenings per week I am on call at the hospital and don't get home until 8 to 11 PM.Rarely, I may have to return to the hospital in the middle of the night.I also work in the hospital on one or two weekend days per month and may need to return to work in the night.I know my schedule well ahead of time.We have always had a live-in nanny to help with the children and the household.We have enjoyed living with these young people, and have had very good relations with almost all of them.We remain good friends with several previous nannies.We are looking for someone who is cheerful, flexible, a good driver, friendly, intelligent and energetic, who likes dogs, and doesn't smoke.Tillträde: Hösten -07 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
