Au Pair/New York.

Dear Au Pair I am writing to introduce our family to you.We live in a big apartment in New York City.Travis has a big birthday coming up - he turns 50 in August.We have been in NY now for almost 25 years, and currently live in an apartment in a building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, across the street from a large park and nearby to shopping and transportation.Our apartment has views of the Hudson River.We have had au pairs from Germany (2), Switzerland, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Mexico.Our current au pair is from South Africa and she has lived with us for two years.Our au pair has a nice bedroom with a bed, dresser, bookshelves, chair, TV, phone, radio, closet and other decorations such as a rug and posters.She shares a bathroom with our daughter who turns 13 this summer.All of our au pairs have enjoyed living in New York City.There are a lot of other au pairs living in the neighborhood and they get together far meals, movies and other outings.In addition, there are all kinds of cultural and shopping activities to enjoy in the city - museums, movies, restaurants, music, etc.We are looking for someone who has a lot of energy and enjoys being around children.Our kids can do a lot for themselves now but they enjoy having a young adult in the house that is like a great older sibling.Colleen is in middle school (entering 8th grade) and is on the verge of becoming a teenager!She likes horseback riding and soccer and this year she tried out for and made a girls soccer team.She is a good student and very diligent about doing her homework.
