Au Pair/New York

We are a close, loving family and value our time together.And although we live busy lives, we always manage to spend a lot of time with each other.We do not stand or ceremony and are instead very open, casual, and fun-loving and we are looking for an au pair who will fit in and become part of the family.Isabelle is "Dr.Mom." She's a pediatrician in town who works part time so she can be around for the kids as much as possible.Her hobbies include walking, scrap booking, talking to friends, and being with the kids.Terri is "Dr.Dad." He is a medical/health reporter in New York.He loves listening to music and plays guitar (terribly).He also likes to play sports and roll around with the kids as much as possible.Dan is 11 years old and in 6th grade.He is a mature and responsible boy who is very kind and sensitive.He loves to learn and read, but he also plays baseball, basketball and takes drum lessons.Linn is 9 years old (going on 19!) and in 4th grade.She loves acting and performing and is involved in the local musical theater program.She is about to start guitar lessons (she has been dying to learn rock and roll on her electric guitar). John is 6 years old and in 1st grade.He's the family clown and is full of spunk.He loves music and dancing and you can hear him singing at almost any hour of the day or night.He also plays soccer.We call him the mayor because he's incredibly social and everyone knows him and seems to love him.The au pair will have it's own room with a bathroom directly across the hallway.There is also a secondary entrance to the house that is closest to the au pair's room.We want an au pair who is a responsible non-smoker and will role model the kind of values and integrity that we are trying to instill in our children.The au pair will have use of a car but we expect the au pair to use it responsibility and to ask us if you would like to take it outside of the county.We live in a beautiful, woodsy, suburban community in New England, only a 45-minutes drive from New York City.There is a lot to do near here, from beaches, to skiing, to Broadway shows and museums, to sports events.There are many, many other au pairs in the community and there are a number of local areas where young people gather socially.In the past we have had nannies from South Africa, Australia, and different parts of the United States.We welcome the cultural diversity and the children love learning about far off places and people.Tillträde: Hösten/Vintern -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
