Au Pair/New York area.

Hi!We would like to have an international au pair as a member of our family for several reasons.We (my husband and I) believe it will be a positive experience for our children to know someone from another country in a close and loving way and to have a consistent, warm caregiver living with us in the home. We have four children aged 14, 12, 10 and 7.We also have a dog and two cats.Our goals for our children are that they do well in school and enjoy themselves in their free time.At weekends, we are either relaxing at home or attending activities with our children.Occasionally we go to Massachusetts to our country home there. During the week, the children are in school and the au pair would need to be up at about 7:15 to help the two youngest get ready for school and the bus.The older kids get home at about 2:30 and the younger kids about 3:30.They will need help with homework, dinner will need to be prepared and the youngest child will need supervision.I would also like the au pair to help with other activities relating to the children's care, such as preparing lunches and helping with the children's laundry.I am home two days a week and am happy to work out a schedule with the au pair to share these duties.While we will not expect the au pair to do much driving, it is important she is a good, responsible driver - there might be days that the kids would need to be picked up or dropped off.While the children are at school, the au pair is free to walk into town or relax at home etc.We live within 10 minutes walk of a town with shops, a movie theatre, a park, restaurants and a supermarket.There is also a train line and bus line to other towns.Our neighbourhood is full of families and is quite safe.We even have an au pair living across the street from us! Skandinaviska Institutet ordnar visum för 13 månader.Intervju görs på följande orter: Stockholm, Malmö, Sölvesborg, Göteborg, Gävle, Umeå, Växjö, Örebro och Linköping.
