Au Pair/New York State.

I am a single mom and have 2 sons who I adopted. We are all very close and spend a lot of time with my aunts, brother and sister and their families. We live in a large house in New York State. We've had au pairs from the Programme for 6 years now. My eldest son is 9 and the younger one is 7 years old. They are both attending school now. I work in New York City. My goal for the children is to be the best that they can be. I look to our au pair to give the children the individual attention they need. The au pair will have many weekends and most holidays off to explore New York City and its surroundings. Our actual neighbourhood is quiet, with family homes all around. It's a short walk to the railroad that takes you straight to New York. Our home is also close to shopping, the post office, and the library and there are many au pairs living close by. The au pairs duties will be getting the children up in the morning and making sure they make the school bus. In the afternoon, our au pair meets the children at the bus, helps the children with their homework and then it's playtime. There's a small pool in the backyard and the chidren have loads of toys. They really enjoy cycling around the neighbourhood. I really look to our au pair to care for the children during the times I am not yet home from work, and to become another close friend to the children.
