Au Pair/Newport, Rhode Island

Hello!We would like to introduce ourselves.We live in a busy but friendly house with two kids, two dogs, a cat, and 2 birds, located off a peaceful road near Newport, Rhode Island.Newport is a small, attractive, coastal city in New England.It has the advantage of being an hour south of Boston, and yet has the feel of a smaller town.It offers beaches, sailing, and is a popular tourist attraction during the summer.Our house is in a quiet neighborhood close to the water, with fields and a vineyard surrounding us.Although most of the bedrooms are on the second floor, the au pairs in the past have preferred to live downstairs where they have the privacy of their room, adjoining a comfortable family room, which the kids sometimes share.The most important members of our family are our two children, both boys.Matt is six years old.Both are quite intelligent, cute, loving, and lovable children.Both are normally active, but not overly so.They both attend a small school close by from September until June. We are both physicians, who work unusual hours.Sam is an emergency room physician.His hours are irregular, sometimes working evenings, nights, or weekend shifts.He usually leaves for work between 6:45 and 9:00 a.m., depending on that day's schedule.Diana's schedule is somewhat more regular, but her hours are longer. The majority of the au pair's responsibility is for the weekday routine of school and afternoon lessons.Since both of the children are in school.all day, that leaves the middle of the day free.We.currently have a flexible nightly curfew on weekdays, but consider weekend time your own.In our spare time, we enjoy sailing our boat (a 9.5 meter long sailboat) in the waters off Newport and at Cuttyhunk Island, where we have a summerhouse.Cuttyhunk is a small island just off the coast of Massachusetts about one hour away.We spend most of July at Cuttyhunk on vacation.Kevin enjoys windsurfing.In addition, we sometimes go to the Caribbean.for a week during the winter, though next year we may go on a ski trip instead.Obviously, we always invite our au pair to join us on vacations.We have loved having different-au pairs from a variety of locations over the past three years.We have enjoyed the company of all of them.Our current au pair, Sabrina, will be returning home in September after her year with us.We look forward to finding another energetic and loving au pair, to share in our lives and to care for our children when we are at work.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Fri resa och sjukförsäkring ingår (värde 5800:-) om du har en komplett ansökan före den 31 juli 2008.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
