We are a family of three people, a husband, a wife, and daughter.We also have two pet cats whom we consider part of the family.Below is some information about all of us.I (Kainda) am 38 years old, primarily of African ancestry with a lot of other ethnicities thrown in the mix.I immigrated to the United States from the Jamaica when I was fourteen years old.I lived in New York City until I went to College in upstate New York.While in college, I participated in two, junior year study abroad programs of which homestays were an integral part.I studied in Kenya.for five months and in Costa Rica for six months.As a result of my personal background and my educational studies, I speak several languages, the English Creole spoken in Jamaica, standard British/American English, fluent Spanish, beginner to intermediate level French, and basic Swahili.As a family, we enjoy traveling around to other countries and around the United States.As an aside, I also have a graduate degree in public and nonprofit management, which I use in the field of fundraising.Professionally speaking, I am in transition.As of June 5", I will be working with the Episcopal Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion in New York doing fundraising work (my title is major gifts officer).I enjoy reading, connecting with family and friends, and just plain relaxing on the weekends.She loves to paint, color, and look for bugs.We think of her as a budding entomologist or veterinarian.She loves animals of all kinds and is very nurturing.Her latest interest is a salamander, an animal in the amphibian family, which she found in our backyard.Grace is learning to read and absolutely loves it.She loves playing with her neighbors/friends.We have memberships at the American Museum of Natural History, the Bronx Zoo, our local CT zoo, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and we will most definitely join the Montclair Museum of Art, when we move there in August.We are also family members at the local YMCA.There are many cultural museums not to far from where we live or even going to live.Some social event happens every month almost and during holidays.Where the town gets together, and has contest and other things, down the road from us.We hope that this answers some questions about us, until than we can't wait to meet you.We all are looking forward to your stay with us.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Hösten -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
