Au Pair/Palisades, New York

Our family consists of myself (the mom), Andrew, who is 12 years old, and in the 7th grade, Ryan, who is 10 years old and in the 5th grade, Lucie who is 16 months old, and will be starting nursery school/camp by the summer time.I am 40 years old, and my husband is 52.We also have one dog-named brisket.She is very cute and very peppy and a medium size dog who loves to play and loves affection.We live in Palisades New York, which is a suburb outside New York City.Palisades is approximately 10 miles from the border of New York City and also borders New Jersey.Bob is an attorney and works for a law firm in Manhattan; he specializes in Real Estate transactions.I work in the Civil Court for New York City, in Brooklyn.We are very easygoing people, we like to laugh a lot and have a good time.The boys are in school pretty much all day.They leave between 7 and 8 am and come back at 3 or 4 and often they have activities after school as well.As far as the boys go, the main things an au pair will be involved in is driving to and from activities, supervising homework and meals, and stopping their from fighting which they do quite frequently.The main job for the au pair will be taking care of Lucie.She is home all the time now.She is starting a music class in January which our current baby sitter will be taking her to, and once the summer comes she will be camp and then nursery school 3 mornings a week.The hours of work with Lucie are long Monday thru Friday but the weekends you will generally be free.We are looking for someone who loves children and dogs.A very independent and social person, who would like to be a part of our family.The most important responsibilities will be taking care of Lucie, feeding her bathing her, and organizing activities for her that will enrich her as she grows and develops.Also important is supervising the boy's schoolwork, preparing meals for the children, and someone who is very confident and responsible driving the children around.We have had au pairs before from Israel, Brazil, England, South Africa, and Wales.We have had some wonderful experiences in the past.One of our first au pairs has moved to this area and is still in regular contact with our family.We look forward to continued new and enriching relationships with our next au pair.Tillträde: Vintern/Våren -07 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
