Au Pair/Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Hi!We are a family of 3.My wife, our 8 year old son and myself.He has been in day-care since he was 2, which has really helped him develop socially.He enjoys the company of his friends but is also very good at spending time on his own doing activities such as practicing the piano and drawing.Our primary goal is to raise our son with a well-balanced, happy and healthy view of life and we hope the au pair will help to provide him with strong values to become a helpful and productive member of his community and to have a global perspective.He is a very sporty child having participated in baseball, basketball, soccer and tennis. Our family life is not an example of a typical 9-5 working day, my wife is a surgeon requiring her to be at the hospital on call overnight one or two nights a week.Our son's normal weekday schedule is getting up at 7:00 to leave for school at 8:00 and be at school until 3:00.We would expect our au pair to prepare his breakfast and take him to school in the mornings, prepare his evening meal and supervise his activities until bedtime (around 8:30.) We would love for her to help him with piano practice if she is interested in doing so.Time during the day while he is in school and evenings after bedtime will be free for the au pair. We live in Pennsylvania, 45 minutes from Philadelphia and 20 minutes from the largest shopping mall on the east coast!!The local town also has many good restaurants and a great university.Our rural setting is a very attractive area to but does mean a good ability in driving is essential. My wife is from Korea, she speaks Japanese and Korean, and I speak Japanese and a little German and have worked in Japan and London as well as here in America.We both feel strongly that an overseas experience is a very positive step in the development of any person, which is why we have decided to apply as a host family for the Au Pair in America programme.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Våren -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
