Au Pair/Raleigh, North Carolina

We are a happy, busy family, with two healthy, joyful boys.We are very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with our sons and our extended families.We are lucky to have Kent's (dad) immediate family with us in Raleigh.His mom and dad, two sisters and their families all live nearby.Clara's (mom) parents, her brother, and his family live in Ohio and we visit with often. Family activities Our family enjoys swimming at our community pool, hiking in the nearby parks, and biking.We visit museums now and then and we occasionally go to the theater to see traveling Broadway shows.The Entertainment and Sports Arena is just a few minutes from our house and we enjoy hockey games and concerts there often.We also enjoy spending time with our friends and neighbors either at their homes or ours.Phillip will be five in April.He is a very bright, articulate, and fun.He goes to preschool three days per week in the afternoons and beginning in September, he will begin kindergarten.He loves preschool and it's the highlight of his week.He loves to read books, take walks outside, play with cars, trains and airplanes.Joseph is almost 2.5 years old.He likes to have fun playing with different toys, or his big brother.He loves to laugh.He is content, but will also let you know when he's not happy about something.We think having an au pair as part of our family will provides us with not only the quality in home childcare we seek for our children, but the additional opportunity for our family to be exposed to a new culture while sharing our own culture with a young person.As our children grow, exposure to new cultures, languages, and ideas is key to their understanding of the world.We have truly enjoyed our experience with our au pairs.While we know many people from a variety of other cultures, this unique situation helped us learn about cultures in depth.We're looking forward to that experience with our new au pair.We are within 20 minutes of three universities and several community colleges.The state capital and downtown area are about 10 minutes from our home.We have two major malls nearby and numerous restaurants, museums, and theaters.There are also several parks where you can hike, bike, horseback ride or Picnic.And, the Entertainment and Sports Arena is just five minutes from our house and we often get free tickets to NHL hockey games, concerts, and other events.Tillträde: Våren -07 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Inga kostnader för flyg om du arbetar ett år som au pair.Visum för 13 månader.Försäkring ingår.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
