Au Pair/Rhode Island.

My husband and I live in Providence, Rhode Island with our 3 children. The children are now aged 15 and 12 (our sons) and our daughter is 8. All the children are at school from September to mid June five days a week until 3pm. During the school year, the kids have very busy schedules -they have all sorts of after-school activities. We usually get home at about 7-7.30pm and then we all have dinner together. My husband and I both work full-time -I am a lawyer and he is a Doctor. We are devoted to the kids and love going on family skiing trips to Vermont in winter or on sailing trips in summer. As a family, we all enjoy outdoor activities and hanging out together. We have had 4 successful years on the programme so far and the children are excited about their new au pair. They are all old enough now that they can actually be quite helpful and fun to be around! Our new au pair's hours will be quite reasonable the au pair will pick the kids up from school, help structure their afternoon and ensure they get their homework done. We are back by 7.30pm so the au pair needs to be able to help the kids with any homework problems. We hope our au pair will be energetic and fun loving, and someone who is willing to do fun things with the children in their free time. They would love to have an au pair who will take them to the movies or kick a soccer ball about with them. We are hoping that we can rely on our au pair to make sure that the children are engaged in healthy, constructive activities while we are at work. We live in a big old house right in Providence-there are a number of educational and cultural opportunities within walking distance of the house, such as museums, theatres and restaurants and an art school.
