Au Pair/Richmond, Va.

My husband Peter (52) & I have 2 wonderful sons, Andrew (14) & Avery (10), and we have been a host family for 6 years now.Not only are we experienced with the program - we understand what is truly meaningful about it - allowing the aupair to become a part of our family for a year, not only to provide child care for our children - but to grown and learn about another culture.We are an international family -Peter my husband is German, I am American - and our sons who were both born Germany have dual citizenship.We think, the aupair program is ideal for childcare - because it allows us to constantly expose our sons to different cultures and languages, as well as allows them to have someone who is like a family member to look after them - vs.other childcare options.Andrew, our youngest (10) -is one of the most happy & joyous kids you will ever meet.He has had very close & loving relationships with all of our aupairs.He is very easy going and his warm and loving disposition allow him to build close relationships - he loves to hug and have fun with his aupair. We really appreciate an aupair who is mature and independent and can use good judgment in caring for our boys - we look at you as a partner in the childcare/rearing of our children and we work together - as well as respect your opinions, thoughts ideas about what you find is working best with the children etc.We also like to be informed about your day - and the interactions you've had with the children - so good communication with each other is very important.As well as any personal issues you may be having - myself & my husband are very open - and want to build a relationship with you as a trusted adult - and have you be a part of our family.We have a very lovely home with 4 bedrooms & a large back yard/garden in Richmond Va.-a very central location on the Eastern Side of the USA.Virginia is a very beautiful state - very lush & green - and for America at least.During the summer - we like to go on holiday to one of the lovely beaches around here - North & South Carolina, and in winter - we sometimes go to the western part of Virginia for skiing - and snowboarding.We will value you as an adult member of our family and care provider of our children.We are also here to support you with any challenges you have - since we know that in spite of all the excitement about living, in America for a year - there are times when it can be difficult to be away from your home, family & friends.Learning & living in a new culture is one of the most wonderful advantages anyone can have in our global world today - we have a very open mind to any/all cultures - and want to share & learn about yours as well ... We hope to be your substitute family for the year!Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Hösten -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år. Skandinaviska Institutet ordnar visum för 13 månader.Intervju görs på följande orter: Stockholm, Malmö, Sölvesborg, Göteborg, Gävle, Umeå, Växjö, Örebro och Linköping.
