Au Pair/Rye, New York.

Greetings!Rye is a suburb of New York City (35 minutes by train), and is home to many au pairs and activities.Nearby to our home is a little town, library, several stores, schools, playgrounds, golf courses, and beaches.Our home is large and the property includes a swimming pool, and is next to the Rye Nature Center, which has many acres of unspoiled land.Our neighbors are great, young families, with children the same age as ours.We have a separate bedroom for the au pair in the first floor of the house with a private bathroom, as well.Our girls are very studious and active in many after school activities like tennis, golf, ballet, piano, soccer, and swimming.Samantha and Eden also love to read and create arts and crafts.Monday through Friday they attend school from about 8-3 p.m, which means the au pair helps get them up in the morning, ready for school, packs their lunches, and drives them to school.And then at 3 p.m., the au pair drives to retrieve them, takes them to any after school activities or play dates, returns home to shower or bathe them, makes them dinner or snack and only rarely puts them to bed at night (if we're not home.) Occasionally, Glenn and I may go out during weeknight or weekend, and we may need additional help babysitting.We are a very active family; we both work and play hard.We try very often to eat dinner as a family even if it's after 7 or 8 p.m.(after the kids have already eaten.) We rarely, if ever, work on weekends.We have a dog named Trixie who is very old, but equally a member of our family.Our backyard has a fenced area, where our dog can roam as she chooses.Our daughters view the au pair as an older sister and friend, and we view the au pair as a member of our family.This is an important distinction because we choose to have the au pair spend a lot of time with us for the enjoyment of it.That often means attending broader family functions, traveling together on vacation, and really enjoying each other's company.The proper care of our children is absolutely paramount to us, which means safe, stimulating activities and little or no TV.Re: the aupair, we have no specific rules, except that she is mature enough to handle responsible use of the car and home, and that she understands when would be an appropriate to return home at night (especially before needing to work the next day).We have never had to enforce a curfew, because all of our previous au pairs were quite mature and responsible.We also expect that the au pair is flexible to any changing schedules.We are very excited once again to welcome a warm, thoughtful, and sensible au pair to our home this Fall.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Snarst Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
